Seward County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the record.

Ask whether the person is held now and whether staff can distinguish community release from transfer. The home page explains the full verification and release-record process. For recent events, see 24-Hour Releases. State supervision is covered under Post-Release Supervision, while date and notification questions use Release Date Lookup and VINE Inmate Check.
County Open Records Requests
The Seward County Clerk is the designated Freedom of Information Officer. Use the online Kansas Open Records Act form for a specific booking or release record. Questions about the form can be directed to 620-626-3355.
State the full name, known identifier, approximate booking dates, release date and time, release type, destination, booking number, and photograph sought. Ask for electronic copies and a cost estimate before chargeable work. The published fee document is only a guide and does not establish a fixed jail-release record price.
Courts and Supervision
Liberal Municipal Court handles city violations at 325 N. Washington Avenue, Liberal, and can be reached at 620-626-0143. It does not provide Seward County District Court information. County sources publish 620-626-3375 for District Court, while the city directory also lists 620-626-3238 as a routing option.
Cimarron Basin Community Corrections is at 415 N. Washington Avenue, Suite 120, Liberal, with telephone 620-626-3284. It is distinct from municipal probation and KDOC parole. Identify which court or agency imposed supervision before calling.
KDOC State Records
For a sentenced Kansas state prisoner, start with the KASPER offender search. Corrections to KASPER public data may be directed to kdoc_pub@ks.gov. Sentence-date questions go to the KDOC Sentence Computation Unit at 785-296-3317.
For an existing KDOC sentence, supervision, or discharge record, use the agency’s Open Records and Public Information instructions and the KDOC records-request channel identified there. The agency may charge reasonable actual costs and follows Kansas open-records response requirements. The Prisoner Review Board’s public contact is 714 SW Jackson, Suite 300, Topeka, KS 66603, 785-746-7516, but its public-comment email is not a substitute for the KDOC records portal.
Federal and Immigration Records
A transfer may require the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator, the federal court docket, or the ICE detainee locator. These systems do not confirm the Seward County release event. Request the local transfer record first, then follow the receiving authority.
